Dear Ramsey School District Staff:
What a terrific week we just shared! After months of work, we heard the community clearly support our collective effort to make a positive impact on the lives of Ramsey’s children. Tuesday’s bond referendum affirmed that the community not only appreciates what we have done, but trusts us with its future. Behind those poll numbers is an undeniable pat on the back for every staff member.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the work you put into this process. It would be too easy to focus that spotlight on the short-term or on the people who gave up personal time for the cause. Our thanks go beyond that, to all the people – this entire staff – who make Ramsey School District shine every single day. We could not get that kind of vote result from a simple informational campaign; it could only come from a history of respect. We are so thankful to work with you!
Soon the excitement of this week will give way to hard work, because the improvements will require some flexibility and cooperation. Our Board of Education and administrative team will try to make that process as unobtrusive as possible. Many of those changes will support the goals outlined in our Profile of a Graduate, and so they will positively impact this labor of love we call a job.
We are confident that we will work together through those changes and beyond, to continue doing our best for the students of Ramsey.
