Dr. Matthew Murphy, Superintendent, Youth Mental Health First Aid for all Staff

We held our first in-district Youth Mental Health First Aid training last week.  A core group of staff members have been trained to be trainers and will now be turnkeying this training to all members of our learning community over the next few years.  This past Thursday, they trained Child Study Team members, related service providers, guidance counselors, and some classroom aides.  Those who completed the training are now “certified” in Youth Mental Health First Aid.  The district is using federal grant money earmarked for Mental Health to fund this work.
