Ramsey School District’s News & Views newsletter was recognized this week for providing budget information along with reports of how the community’s investment supports student success. It won first place among Special Interests Publications in the annual competition of the New Jersey School Public Relations Association.
The District regularly communicates with parents in paperless ways, but also prints and mails News & Views three times a year to all households in the town and Saddle River. The spring 2022 issue served as a budget report with a three-page inside spread about student accolades.
News & Views is one way the District and its Board demonstrate a commitment to transparency, from what’s in the budget (as was the case in this newsletter) to what’s taught in our classrooms (as is the case with our Blueprint curriculum access).
