We had a great turnout at Wednesday night’s event.
We will be implementing RULER at the three elementary schools beginning in the fall and are very excited about bringing a systematic SEL approach to the district. It will serve as a great compliment to the work we are doing around a Profile of a Ramsey Graduate.
We had over 100 attendees at last night’s Parent Academy and Dr. Brackett gave another interesting talk about Emotions. Senior Chris Azouri introduced Dr. Brackett and did a wonderful job providing a personal story of how his emotions have had an impact on his academics – both positively and negatively.
The evening talk was slightly different than the afternoon event and focused more on how parents could help their children’s emotional development. Dr. Brackett also shared some different information including unhelpful and helpful emotional regulation strategies.
